SHIRTS

One day I was in a store looking for band shirts. Could not find a single female act. I got pissed and livid. I got home and said, "Well design your own shirts then!" And here we are. And seeing as how there was such a desert of female representation on shirts I though F it I LOAD each shirt with women. Currently most of my designs can be found on Threadless.

At the moment my designs focus on women in music. All are awesome for the music lover in your life.

Each music design is it’s own kind of history lesson in a way with variants for the niche connoisseur. It is also done to spark curiosity so that maybe the “viewer” will go check out acts they may never have heard of before.

“My So Called Nineties” shirt, is play on the iconic TV show “My So Called Life” centered on a teenage girl. So it’s fitting I loaded these shirts with female acts. Each shirt has it’s own more general theme/genre with in the 90s; country, rock, pop, hip-hop etc.

Custom versions of, “My So Called Nineties” shirt (including male acts) will be available for order soon.

When rock ‘n roll history was written it became Elvis and Chuck Berry all day every day. You couldn’t find a mention of any women at the time who brought as much if not more dragster tail pipe. Specifically huge h hitmakers like Ruth Brown, Brenda Lee, and Connie Francis.

Originally rock ‘n’ roll was also a teen thing and all the 45s were meant to be disposable teen product, while proper albums were for “adults”. But back then and maybe even more so bow the llate 50s-60s was such a fun era to collect those great 45 singles! And that era of the 45 inspire a series I call, “Females on 45”. Celebrating those first females who showed other girls & ladies how to rock just as hard as the men. Themes include; R ‘n’ B/ R ‘n’ R, British Beat Babes, Ye-ye, Sunshine Pop, Soul, & Country.
