Before the age of the internet if you looked at the history texts, music anthologies, and what the media was saying you might’ve rightly assumed it was only men and one or two token ladies who made music over human history. It was mostly men all day every day. And straight dudes at that.
My independent women designs celebrate leading voices of music in countries and sub-cultures that helped shape not just music but women’s roles in the world. And they did it despite whatever society was telling them about a woman’s place in the world.
Despite the gendered title, included here are trans voices from across the globe because metaphorically they too are independent women blazing trails and challenging the norms.
Currently most of my designs can be bought on Printful.
